The jars in this painting are my Grandmothers, her home was filled with eclectic objects and art from their travels - woven bags from PNG, a glass bowl filled with vintage matchboxes, books upon books. I loved the warm feeling of their house and there was always someone popping by for a cup of tea or an afternoon drink. This is what was in my mind when I painted this particular piece.
